An Austrian atheist has won the right to be shown on his driving-licence photo wearing a pasta strainer as "religious headgear".Niko Alm first applied for the licence three years ago after reading that headgear was allowed in official pictures only for confessional reasons.Mr Alm said the sieve was a requirement of his religion, pastafarianism. Lol.

Apple's Mac OSX 'Lion' could arrive next Thursday
Apple is expected to launch Mac OSX 10.7 - codenamed "Lion" - as soon as next week, according to reports which say the company has instructed its retail stores to prepare machines for the upgrade by this Sunday.
Machines in the store are being fitted with extra RAM where possible for the upgrade from OSX 10.6 ("Snow Leopard").The upgrade will cost $29.99, or £20.99 in the UK. Lion requires at least 2GB of RAM and an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor - meaning it is compatible with Apple computers excepting the Mac mini from late 2006 onwards.
There are also rumours that Apple may launch new versions of its MacBook Air slimline notebook, possibly on Tuesday - when it usually releases hardware - with the software upgrade, which is only being delivered virtually to machines already running 10.6, following on Thursday - the day when Apple usually releases operating system upgrades.
Are you planning on getting OSX Lion or keeping Snow Leopard ?

Nintendo sued over glasses-free 3DS technology
"The lawsuit was filed in a New York court by Tomita Technologies. The owner of the patent in question, and founder of Tomita Technologies, is one Seijiro Tomita, who worked for Sony for 30 years.
"Mr Tomita invented and developed technology relating to displaying stereoscopic (3D) images on-screen for viewing with the naked eye... without utilising glasses or other devices," the lawsuit claims.
The original patent, filed in 2003, pertains to "a stereoscopic video image display device for displaying different video images for the eyes of a viewer".
That certainly sounds rather like the 3DS, which uses parallax barrier technology. A thin sheet in front of the display is full of tiny slits that mean certain parts of the screen are hidden from one angle, but visible from another. With your two eyes placed at different angles to the screen, each peeper sees a slightly different picture. Nintendo's implementation is particularly impressive, although the spell is broken if you move your head, or the console, even slightly.
The lawsuit doesn't specify exactly how the 3DS infringes on the patent. Nintendo is no stranger to legal conflict either. Tech companies regularly sue the socks off each other, so it wouldn't surprise us if nothing much comes of this latest courtroom conflict."
Oh Nintendo...
Have any of you purchased to 3DS, if so how is it?

New Headset, And A Review
Today, my new headset finally arrived. The SteelSeries Siberia V2 and I must say, its amazing. I tried it out on a few fps games at first and the quality of the sound was spot on, I could estimate the locations of my enemies so easily, it was awesome. I then tested the headset with some music, I must say I was blown away with the quality considering it's a gaming headset made for gaming. Another great feature is that its noise cancelling, and does a very good job of blocking out annoying outside noise.
A lot of people say that you are always better off buying a separate mic with headphones rather than a headset since it's better value for money. Well judging from this headset I don't think so, it's much better than headphones I've used in the past. Also the mic can easily be tucked away so you can use the headset as a normal pair of headphones if you are out and about.
In conclusion I feel this is a must have item for any gamers set up, whether you are casual or hardcore. So if you are on the lookout for replacing your broken headset get your self a Siberia V2 Headset NOW.

In short, im asking my followers who have steam to follow http://steamcommunity.com/groups/FixSource and help support the group. Thanks
And for those who arent aware of the game check this video out, it shows one of the best Counter Strike Source team in Europe "Team Very Games."

Google+ challenges Facebook in social network battle
Online search giant Google has launched a new social networking website in its latest attempt to take on Facebook, which now claims more than 500m users.Google+ allows people to share photos, messages and comments but also integrates the company's maps and images into the service. But some people are saying that they've copied features of Facebook while adding a video chat function.Bare in mind Googles previous efforts to compete with Facebook ended in failure, with both Google Wave and Google Buzz proving unpopular with users.
Would you use Google+ instead of Facebook?

Online game Star Wars Galaxies set to close
Sony said the closure had come about because its contract to run the Star Wars game runs out in 2012, not because of declining player numbers.Sony has announced that its Star Wars Galaxies on-line game will be shut down on 15 December. The news was broken in e-mails sent to players and via messages posted on the game's support forums and website.
To be fair though, who really cares. Developing MMOs is pointless when World of Warcraft is still active with millions of users...

iPhone 5 'to launch in September'
Current iPhone 4 |
Apple is to release the "iPhone 5" in September, according to reports from component suppliers in Asia who are gearing up to build the next generation of the company's smartphone. The new "iPhone 5" will look very similar to the current iPhone.
Reports suggest that the new phone will use an A5 processor like that included in the iPad 2 released in March and feature an 8MP camera (compared with 5MP in the iPhone 4). Some reports suggest that it is testing a higher-resolution or larger version of the screen than that in the present model.
The new devices will include Apple's new iOS 5 software, which includes its iCloud capability to synchronise data between devices, and to activate and update phones without requiring connection to a computer, as well as offering photo sharing and Twitter messaging across many apps.
Would you purchase and iPhone 5?

Team Fortress 2 Free For Ever...
One of Valves most popular selling games "Team Fortress 2" is now free to play for both PC and Mac.“There’s no catch! Play as much as you want, as long as you like,” says Valve. So what does this mean to people who purchased the game before it was free? Well you now have a “premium account.” The premium account has access to extra features, such as rare and cosmetic items that you get through random item drops. You can also store more items in your backpack (300 slots, compared to 50 slots in the free game) and have better trading and crafting abilities. In the short run this may seem great for many gamers, think about it though, players can keep making free accounts and cheating on TF2 and when they get banned, they can just make a new account.

Apple television set on its way
A former Apple executive claims an Apple television set on its way.
Not to be confused with AppleTV but rather a television with Apple TV built in, allowing you to stream content from your iPhone, iPad, MacBook or over the Internet. A source reckons Steve Jobs is planning to launch this in autumn. Its also rumoured to run apples mobile OS, which should means games such as angry birds will be playable on the big screen. Apparently though the TV itself wont be made by Apple but most probably Samgsung, slackers.

Bitcoin Trojans
Bitcoin is an encrypted, peer-to-peer currency, designed as an alternative to government-controlled currencies. The Trojans "InfoStealer.Coinbit" and "CoinBit.A" attempt to steal the wallet.dat file that holds the Bitcoin virtual currency and email it to the attacker. Both Trojans were found on Bitcoin user forums, potentially affecting all forum members if they were to click infected links. The Trojans were delivered via phishing links showing images. Bummer.

Analogue Sticks on iPhone
Yup thats right, ThinkGeek.com have developed a joystick attachment for the iPhone.
Made from milled Aluminum simply stick the joystick to your iPhone screen and its ready to use. Once you are done simply take it off, simple. They can be purchased from ThinkGeek for a price of $17.99 each, which is expensive if you are planning to buy 2. So unless you are a keen iPhone gamer i doubt they are worth the money.
Microsoft take over Skype

Valve at gamescom 2011
This august the company that brought us Half Life, Portal and Team Fortress 2 will be making an appearance at this years Gamescom. They've given no clues about what they plan to announce. No doubt it will be a left 4 dead rehash and dota 2. Looks like ill probably have to wait till 2012 till they release Half life 3 and Counter Strike 2.
Below are VALVE's current games
Whats your favourite valve game?
Call of duty anyone?
The United States government is building its own "scale model" of the internet to carry out cyber war games. The system will allow researchers to simulate attacks by foreign powers and from hackers based inside the US.More than $500m (£309m) has been allocated by the Department of Defense to develop "cyber technologies".One of their prototypes will be selected to go into operation later in the year.
Is it really worth it?
